{"id":9611,"date":"2020-07-28T18:19:10","date_gmt":"2020-07-28T16:19:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.paolobaracchino.com\/?p=9611"},"modified":"2020-07-28T18:19:10","modified_gmt":"2020-07-28T16:19:10","slug":"tenuta-di-salviano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.paolobaracchino.com\/en\/degustazioni-tecniche\/top-wine\/tenuta-di-salviano\/","title":{"rendered":"TENUTA DI SALVIANO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0Some time ago, while having lunch at Tenuta San Guido restaurant I had the pleasure of meeting the Marquis Giovanni Incisa della Rocchetta, grandson of the Marquis Nicolo Incisa della\u00a0 Rocchetta and his wife.\u00a0 I was told by Dr. Carlo Paoli, director of the &#8220;Tenuta San Guido&#8221; company, who had presented it to me, that the Marquis Giovanni was the manager of the Tenuta di Salviano winery in Civitella del Lago, in the province of Terni.\u00a0 I confess my ignorance because I didn&#8217;t know this reality.\u00a0 The company is in a wonderful position, the vineyards overlook Lake Corbara and are owned by the Incisa-Corsini family.\u00a0 It counts two thousand hectares that extend over the hills overlooking Lake Corbara and is about ten kilometers from Orvieto.\u00a0 Only seventy hectares are intended for the cultivation of vineyards.\u00a0 The company produces white and red wines.\u00a0 Among the white grape varieties there are trebbiano, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and grechetto.\u00a0 Among the red vines are cabernet sauvignon, merlot, pinot nero and sangiovese.\u00a0 The estate uses, to the minimum possible, chemicals and pesticides.\u00a0 It was interesting to taste the &#8220;Salviano di Salviano&#8221; wine, vintage 2018, which is an IGT with 100% Grechetto grapes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tenuta di Salviano <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Umbria I.
